My trip to England
We did a trip to England from 18th to 22nd March 2024. In the following I will tell you what I
especially liked and if it was worth the 14 hours by bus. Our guest families live in Tonbridge, two hours away from London. I
first was a little nervous to live with a guest family for a week but it turned out to be fun and an interesting experience to remember.
We did many daily trips to London and visited a few sights like the Wembley Stadium.
On Wednesday we went to the coast at the south of England. My favourite activity was the walk from Beachy Head to Birling Gap
on the cliffs. After that we had a 30-minute drive to Brighton where we had individual freetime. Me, for example, I walked around the shopping centre
of Brighton with some friends. We bought a few things like tea and jewellery and later sat on the beach till we had to
go back to the bus.
Another daily trip I really liked was the trip to London on the very last day where we had the entire day to do whatever we
wanted there. My friends and I we went to one of the original Hardrock Café’s there. We also visited Waterstones, a wonderful bookshop in London near
Trafalgar Square.
Overall, the trip was really worth the long bus drive and two-hour ferry shipping. I had a wonderful time with my friends,
classmates and teachers, and I made some unbelievably valuable memories that I will definitely remember.
